チームレポート2024（１３）

チームROCHEの堀選手からレポートが届きました。自身も技術面の監修に携わったEPS-J12タイヤプロセッサーを使ったタイヤのエコシステムについて詳しく説明してくれました。いつもありがとうございます！

このレポートではEPS-J12タイヤプロセッサーでくり抜いた（ポン抜き）タイヤから再生タイヤを作成し、ホイールへの接着、整形までの作業が丁寧に解説されています。日本独自の文化として言われることが多いこの方法を世界に発信するために堀選手が一肌脱いでくれました

HORI from Team ROCHE showed us his tire ecosystem, where you can make one tire from another tire, in an economical way.He uses our EPS-J12 tire processor.

タイヤ作製方法（Tire Ecosystem Methods）

１）接着済みタイヤをポン抜きします（下記動画参照）

２）ポン抜いた上層スポンジを切り詰めて、ホイルへ接着出来る状態にします
How to process popped out tires and glue them to wheels

２－１）用意するもの
Tools to prepare

２－２）良く切れるハサミでポン抜きしたタイヤをカットします
Use sharp scissors to cut the tire straight

２－３）表を上面にして広げて、125mmの長さでカットします
Expand the tire and cut it to 125mm

２－４）カットされたタイヤ

Tires adjusted to a total length of 125mm

２－５）マスキングテープを接続部の内側に貼ります
Apply masking tape to the inside of the tire to recreate the tire shape.

２－６）接着剤は、この位の量
Use this amount of glue

２－７）接続部に接着剤を塗ります。塗ったら接着剤が乾かないうちにくっつけます

Apply adhesive to the joints. Once applied, attach them together before the adhesive dries.

２－８）接続部の外側にマスキングテープを貼ります

Apply masking tape to the outside of the joint.

２－９）接続部のマスキングテープを指で強く挟み込むようにして接着します
Firmly pinch the masking tape at the connection points with your fingers to attach them.

２－１０）ダイソーの輪ゴムで固定します。何時に貼ったのか時刻を書いておきます
Secure it with a rubber band. Write down the time when you put it on.

２－１１）3時間経ったらマスキングテープを、そーっと剥がします。外側は接着剤がはみ出ていますが、削るので問題ありません
After 3 hours, carefully peel off the masking tape. There will be some adhesive sticking out from the outside, but this will be scraped off later, so it’s no problem.

３）ホイルへの接着
Gluing the tire to the wheel

３－１）接着力アップのため80番の紙ヤスリで表面をザラザラにしてクリーナーで拭き取ります
To improve adhesion, roughen the surface with 80-grit sandpaper and wipe it with a cleaner.

３－２）タイヤをホイールへはめ込みます。写真のように内側にタイヤが余るようにホイル外側に寄せて被せます
Put the tire on the wheel. As shown in the picture, put the tire on the outside of the wheel so that there is some space left on the inside.

３－３）ダイソーの輪ゴム4本2重で固定します
Secure with four rubber bands in two layers

３－４）接着剤のノズルはカットしただけだと先が尖っていてタイヤの裏側を傷つけてしまうため、ノズル先端の角をカッターでカットします
As shown in the picture, if you just cut the adhesive nozzle, the tip will be sharp and will damage the back of the tire, so cut off the corner of the nozzle tip with a cutter.

３－５）ホイルとタイヤの間にノズルを入れます。次に接着剤を少しだけ出しながらノズルをホイール円周にそってグルグル回していきます。これを何度か繰り返します。これをタイヤ片側半分だけおこないます。写真ではホイール外側半分に接着剤を流し入れています
Insert the nozzle between the wheel and the tire. Next, rotate the nozzle around the circumference of the wheel while applying a small amount of adhesive. Repeat this several times. Do this for only one half of the tire. In the photo, adhesive is being applied to the outer half of the wheel.

接着剤はどの位の量か？良く聞かれますが少しだけはみ出す程度です。接着前後で重さを測ったらリヤタイヤ１本で0.8g重くなってました。大量にはみ出るほどだとホイルとタイヤの間の接着剤の厚みが厚くなり過ぎてパフォーマンスが下がります(トータルのタイヤ硬度アップ、回転バランス低下)。初めのうちは指をくっ付けたり失敗しますが、慣れれば誰でも簡単に出来るようになります
How much glue should you use? This is a common question, but it should just overflow a little. I weighed the rear tire before and after gluing and it was 0.8g heavier. If it overflows too much, the thickness of the glue between the wheel and tire will be too thick and performance will decrease (total tire hardness will increase, rotation balance will decrease). At first, you may get your fingers stuck together or fail, but once you get used to it, anyone can do it easily.

３－６）マスキングテープと輪ゴムで接着剤を流し入れた側を固定します
Secure the side with adhesive using masking tape and a rubber band

３－７）5分経ったらマスキングテープと輪ゴムを外します。そして反対側に同じ要領で接着剤を流し入れます。そしてマスキングテープと輪ゴムで接着剤を流し入れた側を固定します
After 5 minutes, remove the masking tape and rubber bands. Apply adhesive to the other side in the same way. Then secure the side with the masking tape and rubber bands.

３－８）完成後は内側のはみ出したタイヤをタミヤの小さいハサミでカットします
Once complete, cut off any excess tire on the inside with small Tamiya scissors.
